Support UCMB Library Resources and Research

The CRAI Library of Universidad Centro Médico Bautista (UCMB) in Paraguay opened its doors in 2009, providing healthcare students and faculty—as well as staff and residents at Centro Médico Bautista (CMB)—with valuable resources for learning, teaching, and research.

From 2024 to 2025, PBMCF donors generously gave $65,000 to expand the library’s digital and print collections, create a digital catalog, acquire anti-plagiarism and statistical software, and complete construction and furnishing of a new library space. This important expansion was made possible in memory of Dr. Don Jones, missionary to Paraguay.

Now, we have an opportunity to build on that foundation.

New resources are needed to strengthen research, support accreditation, and equip the next generation of healthcare professionals in Paraguay. Our current priorities include these annual needs:

• $2,200 — UCMB Scientific Journal, the annual publication of two journal issues supports academic and research excellence
• $10,000 — Faculty Research Incentives (5), crucial for accreditation and encouraging faculty research. Would you sponsor one $2,000 incentive?
• $25,000 — Bibliographic Collections, expanding the library's resources for learning, teaching, and research including subscriptions to scientific journals and databases

Every gift helps UCMB provide the tools needed to prepare skilled healthcare professionals who will serve their communities with knowledge, compassion, and excellence.
